This Sunday, 8th Feb, I will be at Nooch Vegan and Gluten Free Store, 21 Hallgate, Wigan reading The Girl Who Could See Stories. The reading will take place at 2pm and I'll be sticking around afterwards to sign some books. ![]() This wonderful campaign is encouraging people across the world to 'Try Vegan This January'. Just for a month? Why bother? If you're not vegan yet, every little helps - your body, the animals and the planet. A huge impact can be made in just one month. Participants will feel well and healthy plus, of course, lives will be spared as a result of every individual that says no to meat and animal products. Don't think you can stick to it? Get inspired by the Vegan People section of the Veganuary website. From celebrities to activists and from religious figures to regular folk, this section of the site details the vegan journey of hundreds of people from a wide variety of backgrounds. Read their tips and tales online. And why not start by reading about little old me? I am a fairly recent vegan, so if you are yet to try the lifestyle, find out how I began my journey by following this link: Gill Torres, Author - Veganuary Vegan People Page And they've only gone and put me in the 'famous people' section... on the same line as Moby, Alec Baldwin and Chrissie Hynde no less! Thanks Veganuary for having faith in my humble little picture book - it's made my day! Merry Christmas everyone, and here's to a peaceful new year for EVERYONE. Gill Thank you to Heena Modi for publishing this interview on plantshift.com.
